Surgical Center

Our state-of-the-art, AAAASF-certified facility houses a complete private surgical center. AAAASF is a national accrediting agency that assures surgical facilities are maintained to the highest standards of care. Our facility undergoes annual reviews and periodic inspections and is maintained to the same standard as our local hospitals.

With our surgical center located inside our facility, we want to provide you and your family with convenience and privacy. In addition, our facility boasts a separate waiting room for families and a separate covered discharge area specifically for post-operative patients to ensure extra privacy. You can be assured of the most knowledgeable and experienced staff for plastic surgery procedures in the state of Alabama. During your procedure, you will be moved from the pre-op room to the on-site operating room and finally into a recovery room where you will stay until you are released. Everything is done under one roof for your comfort and convenience.

You can be assured that we have the most knowledgeable and experienced doctors and nurses who are familiar with our facility and procedures, and will create the safest environment for you. 
 

Our surgical staff consists of:

Tim Bruce, CRNA

Tim will be with you before, during and after surgery. He will perform your assessment, prepare you for anesthesia, and administer and maintain anesthesia during your surgery. Before the procedure, he will meet with you to discuss your individual anesthesia plan and answer any questions you may have regarding their anesthesia. 

Tim has been a CRNA for 20 years and has been with Plastic Surgery Associates of Montgomery for 10 years. 
 

Alice Laney, RN

Plastic Surgery Associates of Montgomery has the utmost regard for your safety during surgery, with strict guidelines for safety and cleanliness. One of Alice’s many jobs is to create and maintain the sterile and safe surgical environment. In addition, she provides surgical patient care through patient assessments, performs pre-op and post-op patient education for patients and their families, monitors and cares for patients immediately following surgery and provides pain management after the procedure in the recovery room.

Alice has been an RN for 20 years and has been with Plastic Surgery Associates of Montgomery for six years. 
 

Eugenia Means, O.R. Tech

Each person on the surgical staff plays a crucial role when preparing for surgery. Eugenia assists in the sterile set-up of the operating room and prepares the instruments and supplies needed for surgery each day. She is also there during the procedure to assist the surgeon and nurses as needed.
